Lucille Black Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucille Black (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), who passed away on October 10, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Tucker Gibson and Annie Gibson Ford; her husband Ronald Black of Black's Auto Salvage; her stepfather Russel Ford; and her stepson Ronald O'Neal Black.

She is survived by: her siblings, Virginia McDonald, Barbara Addison and Joseph Gibson; her children, Rhonda Black Gielen (Roger Black) and Paul Black (Scott Black); her stepdaughter Marie Black Vanderpool; her grandchildren, Katie Gielen, Beau Acosta, Nathan Black (Chelsea), Nicholas Black (Amanda), Hope Black, Benjamin Black, Julia Black and Scotty Black; and her great grandchildren, Lyla Black and Ellis Black.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist (930 North Boulevard).
