She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace C. Maurin and Rosa Maurin; her husband Leo G. Abadie, Sr.; and her daughter-in-law Linda Richard Abadie. She is survived by: her children, JoEllyn A. Gallmann (Bill) of Baton Rouge, Leo G. Abadie Jr. (Charise) of Reddick, Jean A. Dugas (Robert) of Lincoln, Chris Abadie (Jill) of Baton Rouge and Carolyn A. Landry (Richard) of Baton Rouge; and her grandchildren, Heather G. Strittmatter, MD, Amy G. Balelo (Andrew), William H. Gallmann IV, MD (Minette), Lindsay G. Hayes Angela A. (Matt), Curry (Brandon), Rachelle A. McGraw (Nick), Michael Abadie, Lydia A. Kirkes (Taylor), Rob Dugas, Kristie D. Millard (Mike), Richard Dugas, Katherine Dugas, Ellen A. Farr (Alex), Kelly A. Murray (Collin), Daniel Grammer (Ashley), Rachel G. Peterson (Stuart), William Grammer, Alex Landry (Melissa) and Elizabeth Landry. She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
