She was predeceased by: her husband Donald L Chaney; her son David Chaney; her parents, Noelie Laurent and Villary Laurent; and her siblings, Rosa Landry, Clarise Nastasi, Marie Pourciau, Noelie McLin, Dorothy Shellenberger, Fern LaCour, Laurent and Aubrey Laurent.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Ballard of Denham Springs; her grandchildren, Derek Wood and Rebekah Coulon (Donnie) of Denham Springs; and her great grandchildren, Alexis, Ashton and Abigail Coulon of Denham Springs. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (865 Hatchell Ln, Denham Springs, LA 70726).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring Jude and her great-granddaughter, Alexis Coulon.
