He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Bochow and Maude Decker; his brother Carl E. Bochow of Tyler, TX; and his former wife Sue Barlow. He is survived by: his wife Cami; his great grandchildren, Richard Kelly Mertens, Jr. (Jenice), Patrick Neal Barlow (McKenzie), Eric Christopher Doherty (Brittani), Nikki M. Valois (D. J.), Brett Mertens (Amberly), Shelby Mertens, Samuel Christopher-Dean Doherty, Lena Poppi-Anne Doherty, Aislyn Mertens, Becket Mertens and Klohe Valois; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Bochow. He is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, five grandchildren.
