He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Hart McElveen (Strickland); his son Gregory Lynn McElveen; his parents, Ashford McElveen and Lena McElveen (Crawford); his brothers, Charles McElveen and Sandy McElveen; and his daughter-in-law Gail McElveen.
He is survived by: his children, David McElveen (Dana) and Dawn Hunt (David); his grandchildren, Natalie Day (Andrew), Kurry Borland (Bryan), Brooks McElveen (Mary Glenn), Corey McElveen (Victoria), Christian McElveen (Hailey), Emily Fish (Andrew), Graham Yeatman (Mallory) and Lennon Hunt; and his sister Katie McElveen Betancourt. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home (1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Calendar Ott & Lee Funeral Homes- Brandon (1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042).
In lieu of flowers, donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association or Prisma Health Midlands Foundation (give.prismahealthmidlandsfoundation.org) in support of individuals diagnosed with breast cancer.
