He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine Fontenot, Jr. and Mary Godeaux Fontenot; and his sister Mary Ann Guillory. He is survived by: his fiancée Sharon Dykes; his sons, Derek Joseph Fontenot (Lauren) of San Jose, CA and Colin Wayne Fontenot of Turkey Creek; his sisters, Linda Fontenot of Marksville, LA and Dorothy Guillory (Mike) of Ville Platte; and his stepdaughter Kimber Danielle Dykes (Britney Mae Waites).
