He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie Smith, Jr. and Estelle Packnett Smith; his brother Felix; and his grandchild Mykelle Smith. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Patricia Haynes; his wife Patricia; his children, Michael Smith of Baton Rouge, Sheryl Randall of Baton Rouge, Cynthia Smith of Baton Rouge, Jason Smith (Lisa) of Baton Rouge, Sheri of Baton Rouge and Carey Lyons of Baton Rouge; and his siblings, Antoinette Collins of Baton Rouge, Loretta Bowers of Baton Rouge, Tyrone Smith (Sandra) of Baton Rouge, Demetra Louis (Raymond) of Baton Rouge and Rene Smith of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
