Emmett Dunnington Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2025, Emmett Dunnington of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Emmett farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Emmett is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Prather; his parents, Eula and Emmett; and his brother Ricky. He is survived by: his children, Becky Smith and Darren Dunnington; his brother Mark Dunnington; and his grandchildren, Madison Nelson and Kyle Smith. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Seale Funeral Home (1720 S Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Amite Baptist Church Cemetery (7100 Amite Church Rd, Denham Springs, LA 70706).
