She was predeceased by: her parents, David Andrew Norman and Irma Tillman Norman; her husband Alvin "Knight" Lavender; her sisters, Myrtle Blakeney (Doc), Doris Hart (Elmer), Josie Williams (Henry), Bertha Mae Seals (J. C.) and Vivian Bailey (Frank); her sister-in-law Shirley Norman; her nieces and nephews, Carolyn, Brenda, Charles, Peggy, John and Freda; and her cousin Edith Sims.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elsie Conley (Woody) and Shannon Dunham (Richard); her grandchildren, Ashley Lavender Byouk, Shannon Byouk Yowell (Tommy) and Elliott Knight Dunham; her great grandchild Oliver Thomas Yowell; her brother Roy Norman (Peggy); and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Blakeney Smith (Gary), Clark, Julie, Marsha, Dave, Denease and Elease.
