He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Boudreaux Burton; his children, Stephen Burton and Joyce Burton; his brothers, George, Jr., John Clyde and Alvin; his son-in-law David Bowman; and his parents, George Burton and Odile Burton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joan Burton LeBlanc (Kenny) and Emily Burton Bowman; his grandchildren, Kristy Bourgeois, Brandi Burton, Ivy Harp (Eric), Amy Townsend (Jared), Troy Burton, Travis Burton (Courtney), Michael Bowman, Mary Burton, Melanie LeBlanc, Melissa Bowman, Samantha LeBlanc and Sydney Babin (Kyle); and his siblings, Windom, Guy, Rose Braud and Edith "Faye" Dagoberg. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
