With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Lorraine Lowe (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Foley of Shreveport, LA and John Dewey Foley Sr.; her siblings, Dorothy Lenzinger and John D. Foley, Jr.; and her stepson Foye Lowe, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Edith Jenkins (Don), Paul Lowe (Gerri) and Tommy Lowe (Mary); her stepson Charles Lowe (Linda); her stepdaughter-in-law Gloria Bockrath; her grandchildren, Rachel Holland, Jessica Silver, Laura Gowan, Katelynn Cruise and Kristen Lowe; her stepgrandchildren, Marilois Snowman, Ellen Womack, Jason Lowe, Amy Enea and Ben Lowe; and her sister Shirley Foley. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rabenhorst East Funeral Home (11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Forest Park Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army or Holy Angels on Ellerbe Rd. in Shreveport.
