She was predeceased by: her husband Oliver "Buddy" Olano; her parents, Daisy Fontenot and Paul Gautreaux; and her siblings, Warren "Buddy" Gautreaux (Flo), Rosemary "Bun" Waddell (Bruce) and Vincent "Noonie" Gautreaux (Edna).

She is survived by: her children, Oliver John (Beverly), Terry Anseman, Linda Parker and Paula Lauto (Carl); her sister Pat Faherty; her grandchildren, Norman Anseman (Vanessa), Laurie Harvey (Holman), Kimberly Silvas (Adam), Chris Kaiser (Jodi), Jessica Eberle (Jeremy), Wesley Olano, Alex, Matthew and Jack Lauto; her great grandchildren, William, Jack, Ivy Anseman, Charlotte, Caroline, Griffin Turner, Olivia King, Morgan and Colin Silvas; and also Mary Earle.

In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Dorothy may be given to Hospice of Acadiana at 2600 Johnston St, Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
