He was predeceased by: his parents, Wanda Simar and Roy Simar. He is survived by: his friends, Louis Blanda, John Blanda, Jim Edgerton, Gerald Reidmueller and David Green; his wife Cheryl Boyd Simar; his daughter Laney Simar Sanders; his son-in-law Judson Sanders; his siblings, Diane Simar Vaughan (Chris), Julie Simar Patronella (Sam) and Gilbert; his sister-in-law Debbie Mazzola; and his grandchildren, Shelby and Alice Sanders. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Aloysius Catholic School, 4001 Mimosa Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70808, in Honor of Danny Simar/Jim Nasium.
