He is survived by: his wife Patsy Brown Carter of Baton Rouge; his children, Cade Edward Carter, Jr. (Erin) of Baton Rouge and Kimberly Carter Bernard (Mike) of Norcross, Georgia; his grandchildren, Cade Carter of Baton Rouge, Sarah Eichelberger (Kerry) of Baton Rouge, Brittney Bernard of Lilburn, Austin Bernard (Courtney) of Atlanta and Mason Bernard of Norcross; and his great grandchild James Carter Eichelberger.
