It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Gooden of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on December 24, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Gooden and Andrew Sr. Gooden; his son Eric Tyrone Gooden Sr.; his grandparents, Willie Veal Sr., Martha Jackson, John, Georgiana Gooden, Lydian and Mitchell Shepard; and his goddaughter Loraine Pepp.
He is survived by: his wife Melissa Lewis Gooden; his daughters, Andrea Trenice Gooden-Conley (Mark), Lydia Ann Gooden and Felicia McDermott Anderson (Michael); his grandchildren, Micah Z. Anderson, Mark A. Conley II, Mekhi A. Conley, Tatiana N. Conley, Andrew Gooden III, Eric T. Gooden II, Ronald J. Scott III and Arielle C. White; his siblings, Roland Gooden, Sr., Bobby Dawn Gooden, Ronnie Gooden, Sr. (Deborah) and Rosa Scott; his godchildren, Steven Comeger, Alysia Gooden, Meriah Carter-Gooden, Patricia McCaleb and Darielle Richard; and his uncle Johnnie Gooden. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
