He was predeceased by: his father James Harding Eppinette; his pet Chaca; his wife Nannette Kinnison Eppinette; and his mother Virginia Eppinette Pirtle. He is survived by: his children, James Durwood Eppinette (Rebecca), Vernon Malcolm Eppinette, Jr. (Lisa) and Kelli Marceaux (Luther); his stepson Ben Sharplin; his grandchildren, Carson Arnold, James Micah Eppinette (Tracy), Carmann Carter (Calvin), Jerry Eppinette (Abbie), Kayla Eppinette, Hannah Turnbow, Clay Turnbow, Jonah Sharpe and Helen Marceaux; his great grandchildren, Kaiden Arnold, Addison Eppinette and Magnolia Carter; and his siblings, Dyar Eppinette (Theresa), Hardy Eppinette (Angel), Eva Eppinette Jones and Jeanette Eppinette Sciara. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Bastrop Chapel (611 N Washington St, Bastrop, LA 71220). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
