With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nora Lusby Ray of Bastrop, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Duane Ray; her sons, Walter Quinton, Paul Wade (Pee-Wee) and James Waylon Jackson; her grandson Will Vaughn; her siblings, Joe Frank (Louise Lusby), J. D. (Patsy Lusby), Paul Levon Lusby, Judith Jeanette (Jack Brennon) and Peggy Ann (Charles Johnson); and the father of her children Walter Eugene Jackson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ashley, Tator Norris, Austin, Chelsea Vaughn, Jarrad Jackson and Logan Jackson; her caregiver Jessica Stallings; and her sister Polly Sue Lusby Mayers. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home (2016 E Madison Ave, Bastrop, LA 71220).
