He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Jasper Meeks and Myrtle Meeks; and his brothers, Henry Marvin Meeks, Henry J. Meeks, Jr., Lee Roy Emanuel and Louie Allen Emanuel.
He is survived by: his wife Shelly May Martin; his children, CoraLynn Renee Meeks, Tiffany Meeks Bourgeois (Caleb) and Zachary Allen Meeks; his stepchildren, Kile Edward Martin, Maggie Mae Martin and Dale Lee Martin; and his sisters, Mary Margaret Strickland (Richard), Fay Meeks Brown and Kay Meeks Yarberry.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Bastrop Chapel (611 N Washington St, Bastrop, LA 71220). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at the Hughes Chapel Cemetery.
