John Raymond Daugherty Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Raymond Daugherty of Bastrop, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John Raymond shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Raymond farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. P. Daugherty and Gladis Daugherty; and his sister Shelia E. Jones. He is survived by: his son John Phillip Daugherty of Bastrop, LA; his brother Jerry Daugherty of North Crossett, AR; and his close friend Tommy Sexton of Delhi, LA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bastrop United Pentecostal Church (6178 US-165, Bastrop, LA 71220). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lacey Cemetery.
