She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Excell Hankins; her daughter Belinda Jo Hankins Jordan; her parents, Walter Estus Smith and Bettie Emma Akin Smith; and her siblings, Estus Smith, Doris Vining, Lela Smith, Hilda "Tookey" Hankins, Steve Smith, John Wesley Smith Sr., Marjorie "Skeeter" Lewis, Tom "Skippy" Smith and Jack "Nicky" Smith.
She is survived by: her son Tommy; her daughter-in-law Teresa Hankins of Bastrop, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Christina Jordan of Bastrop, Louisiana, Zack Hankins (Kelsey) of Sterlington, Louisiana and Trisha Hankins Addison (John) of Madison, Mississippi; and her great grandchildren, Lauren Jordan, Michael Thomas Gorden, Abby, Emma Jordan, Easton Jordan, Aubrey Addison, Riley Grace Hankins, Bryson Addison, Aly Claire Hankins and Cooper Addison. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Lake Providence (210 N Hood St, Lake Providence, LA 71254). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
