He is survived by: his wife Sally Higdon Coley; his daughter Gloria Bonner; his stepchildren, Max Grubbs (Ashley) and Kelli Grubbs; and his siblings, Margie Hillis and Thurman Coley. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
