He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Cherry and Emma Chambers Cherry; and his brothers, Randy Allen Cherry and Eddy Gene Cherry. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Cherry; his children, Corgan Harris, Cody Cherry (Crystal) and Carlla Cheyene Ward (Jay); his stepchildren, Jimmy Holcomb (Pam) and Sarah McGrew (Todd); his siblings, Ronny Neil Cherry (Donna) and Darlene Hearn (Chuck); and his sister-in-law Diana Cherry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Bastrop Chapel (611 N Washington St, Bastrop, LA 71220). A committal service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Tillar Cemetery.
