He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mayo Amons, Sr. and Lillie Mae Amons Beasley; and his brothers-in-law, Clifford "Buster" Nugent and Raymond Nugent. He is survived by: his wife Betty Amons; his daughters, Tonya Cameron (Michael) and Crystal Houston (Sam); his grandchildren, Tiffany Comeaux (Jeremy), Courtney Henry (Ian) and Sarah Cameron; his great grandchildren, Noah Comeaux, Logan Henry, Sawyer Comeaux, Laurel Henry and Easton Bickish; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Amons (Doylene), Gene Amons (Brenda), Barbara Nugent and Gale Nugent. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
