He is survived by: his fiancée Jessica Milburn; his father Charles Daniel Chase; his sister-in-law Katie Chase; his mother Janis Newton (Tom); his siblings, Amber Glass (Caleb), Ashley Sherman (Josh), Christian Smith (Andrea), Brandon Smith (Christi) and Randi Krouse; and his nieces and nephews, Emma Kirksey, Analyse Smith, Taylor Smith, Ethan Smith, Bodhi Glass and Shipley Glass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joe's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or charity of choice.
