She was predeceased by: her husband Ivan Smith; her son Ivan Chris Smith; her son-in-law Johnny Sonnier; her siblings, John Durio and Helen Crochet; and her friends, John and Elaine Bellon.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Ardoin (Mark), James "Dickie" Smith, Michael "Mike" Smith (Sharon), Paul Craig Smith (JoAnn) and Denise S. Sonnier; her daughter-in-law Charlotte Smith of Basile; and her siblings, Dale LaFleur (Molly) of Colmesneil, TX, Sue Warner (Larry) of Bridge City, TX and Etheline Sylvester (Hank) of Ville Platte. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
