It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johney Jeans of Basile, Louisiana, who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandson Christian Fontenot; his parents, Walter Jeans and Ella O'Rear Jeans; and his siblings, Helen Powdrill, E. B., Louis and Boe Jeans.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Scott Jeans of Basile; his daughters, Pamela Jeans Goodwin (Moby) of Lake Charles, Charlotte Jeans Fontenot (Mark) of Lake Charles, Wanda Jeans LeBert (Brett) of Lake Charles and Bonny Jeans (Earl Jones) of Katy, TX; and his grandchildren, Hannah G. Hebert (Josh), Gunnar Goodwin, Hailey Goodwin, Caitlyn Fontenot, Wyatt LeBert and Natalie LeBert. He is also survived by extended family and countless friends.
