He was predeceased by: his parents, Adraste Deshotel and Edmae Guillory Deshotel. He is survived by: his wife Joella F. Deshotel of Basile; his children, Randall M. Deshotel of Vidrine, Cherie D. Frey (Shane) of Mowata, Derek J. Deshotel (Pegi) of Basile and Robin M. Deshotel (Jill) of Elton; and his grandchildren, Sarah D. Johnson, Camille D. Manuel, Allison D. Fontenot, Travis Deshotel, Trevor Deshotel, Taylor D. George, Cole Frey, Stefan Frey, Hannah Deshotel, Trevor Kratzer, Taylor Duplichan, Mason Deshotel, Vivian Deshotel and Isabella Deshotel. He is also survived by fifteen great great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

Because of Dr. Bobby's encouragement of further education, the family will accept donations in lieu of flowers, to be given to a BHS graduate to aid in funding his/her post graduate studies.
