With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Gene Hopkins Sr. (Ball, Louisiana), who passed away on November 26, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Poston Hopkins; his sons, Charlie Neal and Vernon G. Hopkins, Jr.; his parents, Walter Hopkins and Ruth Kennedy Hopkins; and his siblings, Chester, Clayton, Jerry, Ned Hopkins, Pat and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Joanie Moreau (James), Phyllis Moreau (Charles) of Pollock, Linda Hopkins of Alexandria, Christopher Hopkins of Kolin and Richard Hopkins of Pollock; and his siblings, Willard "Bill" Hopkins of Kolin, Linda Mills of Alabama and Alice Thompson of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren (3 soon expected) and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
