He is survived by: his children, John E. Michiels (Carolyn), Eugenia Michiels and Laura Dickess; his sister Mary Ann Dixon; and his grandchildren, Curtis Brown, John Michiels, III (Jenna), Michael Michiels, Mary Frazier, Michelle Walters, Catherine Gintz and Robert Brister. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and a host of great great grandchildren.
