He is survived by: his children, Bobby Benedict (Jackie) of Covington, Mike Benedict of Plano, Mark Benedict of Dry Prong, John David Durand (Kelli) of Pollock, Ruby Mabry (Harold) of Plano, Karen Stone (Stanley) of Ball, Lisa Durand of Ball, Rachel Benedict (Rob) of Dry Prong, Sherry Ledington of Ball and Kristan Delaney (Jeff) of Ball; his brother Jim Benedict (Dorothy) of Ball; and his former wife Sammie Benedict of Plano, Texas. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, an abundance of great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
