He was predeceased by: his wife Stella June Hughes; his parents, Benjamin Hughes and Beulah Hughes; and his grandson Jacob Benjamin Hughes. He is survived by: his children, George Hughes (Jana) of Ball, Faye Harris (Jerry) of Ruston and Pam Valdepena (Dennis) of Kingman, Kansas; and his siblings, Willie B. Hughes of Ruston, Virginia Cripps of Whitehall, Maudie McDaniel of Pioneer and Daisy Chambless of Owensboro, Kentucky. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
