She was predeceased by: her parents, Darmas Jackson and Leona Jackson; her husband Leroy Jenkins Sr.; and her siblings, Rufus, Herman and Loretta.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin, Angel, Sandra, Leroy Jr. (Trena) and Debra (Ira); her siblings, Ruby (Geneva), Golden (Vera), Freeman, Dora and Marion; and her sisters-in-law, Dolly, Agnes and Mary. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grand-children, and a host of cousin, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mary Jenkins was born to Darmas and Leona Jackson in Lafayette Charity Hospital in Louisiana, on September 24, 1939.
