He was predeceased by: his wife Eliza Patrick Collins; his daughters, Sandra Collins and Annette Collins-Randall; his parents, Richard Collins and Virginia Baptiste Collins; his brothers, Joseph Collins, Willie Collins and Richard Collins, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Dwayne Collins, Telicia Raney and Kevin Paul Madison.
He is survived by: his children, Virginia "Ginny" Collins of Breaux Bridge, LA, Gerald (Marie), Conrell Jr. (Patricia), Iris (John Jr.), Tillman of Baldwin, LA, Cecil (Viline), Sherry Ann Madison of Rayne, LA, Sharon Gert (Lonzie), Johnson, Kenneth Collins, Jennifer (Dean), Lanceslin of Baldwin, LA, David (Tameka), Darrell (Cheryl Ann) and Renelle Freeman (Anthony) of Houston, TX; his sister-in-law Barbara L. Patrick; his adoptive daughter Laquanta S. Collins of Grand Marais, LA; and his goddaughter Royette Thomas of Elton, LA. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren, one great-great-great grandchild; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and his church family.
