We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2020, at the age of 92, William Copes of Baker, Louisiana, born in Prairieville, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Copes; his parents, Robert Copes and Azel Copes; his daughter Carolyn Becker; his son-in-law Carl Maharrey; and his siblings, Robert G. Copes, John Mixon Copes and Ann Burkholder.
He is survived by: his children, William H. "Pete" Copes, Jr. (Terri), Robert S. Copes (Susan), Dorothy G. Maharrey and Linda S. Cazes; his son-in-law Robert Becker; and his close friend Michael A. Rogers. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
