She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Whitfield and Della Shuffield Whitfield; her husband Murry Owens, Jr.; and her granddaughter Amy Lynne Funderburk. She is survived by: her children, Dale Owens, Ronnie Owens, Lynne-Marie Owens and Cindi Owens York (Donny); her grandchildren, Staci, Scotty, Stephen, Jason, Shannon and Rachel; her great grandchildren, Braden, Mattie, Rylee, Lillian, Lexi, Lawson and Leyton; and her brother Jackie Whitfield, Sr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
