It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Lemelle of Baker, Louisiana, born in Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Lemelle and Lois Lemelle; his grandparents, Murphy and Loney Lastrapes; his wife Diane Tolivour; his daughters, Lorna Johnson (Etan) and Nickia Lemelle; his granddaughters, Brianna, Reagan and Sarah; his sisters, Jean Lois Thomas, Patricia Dunbar, Irene Murphy, Charlene Chatman (James Jr.), Saleta Gallien and Bridgette Phillips (Jared); his aunt Mercedes Simien (Vincent); and his cousin Angela Roberts. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and godchildren.
