She was predeceased by: her parents, John Howard Potts Sr. and Mary Helena Fabacher Potts; her husband Jay; her son Patrick Jones; and her siblings, Patrea Potts, Mary Josephine Potts Meyer and John Howard Potts Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Mary Alice (Don Sears), Carol Jones Mayeux and Tom Jones; her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Potts Kelley, Katherine Lynette Potts and Ursula Potts Johnson; and her grandchildren, Valerie, Shannon, Rebecca, Rachel, Thomas, Morgan, Brian and Barton. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
