She was predeceased by: her husband John Edgar Haynes; her parents, Fred Ernest Harris and Ruby Glasscock Harris; her brothers, Charles Harris, Fredrick "Leo" Harris and Glen Dale Harris; and her son-in-law Ritchie Hall.

She is survived by: her children, John "Evan" Haynes, Phyllis Haynes Hall, Reba Haynes Rosenbach (Joseph) and Margaret Haynes Daigle (Wayne); her grandsons, Joshua Hall (Dana), Brian Rosenbach, Kyle Daigle, Keith Rosenbach (Brittney) and Glen Daigle; her great grandchildren, Zoe Hall, Rhyan Rosenbach, Drake Hall, Bentley Rosenbach, Brookelynn Rosenbach, Rowan Rosenbach and Baby Rosenbach; and her sister Carolyn Harris Whitehead.

She was a recipient of the LSU Foundation Staff Outstanding Service Award in 1990.
