He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence McCearley, Sr. and Mary McCearley; his son Gary Plaisance; his brother Edward McCearley; and his son-in-law L. J. Blanchard.
He is survived by: his wife Cleta McCearley; his daughter Angie Blanchard; his daughter-in-law Paula Plaisance; his grandchildren, Desiree Shaw (Darin), Joey Plaisance (Christi), Jessica Plaisance, Justin Blanchard (Katelyn), Heather Templet (Carl) and Sheree Gerald (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Victoria St. Romain, Jude St. Romain, Addie Plaisance, Amelia Plaisance, Gerald, Colton Gerald, Hudson Gerald, Miguel Templet, Mimi Templet and Micah Templet; and his brothers, Marion McCurley and Thomas McCurley (Elisa). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
