He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frank Smith and Ara Elizabeth Galloway Smith; his parents-in-law, James Murphy Morgan and Lora Mabel Lambert Morgan; and his son Randall Lamont Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Morgan Smith; his children, Charlie G. Smith, Jr. (Sonja) and Rhonda P. Smith; his grandsons, Benjamin Cody Smith (Brittany) and Chase Hunter Smith (Hope); and his great grandchild Baby Smith. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
