She was predeceased by: her husband Curtis "Bobo" Carter; and her parents, JB Gainer and Zenia Boatman Gainer. She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Starks (Hershel) and Linda "Dinky" Burleigh (Mike, Jr.); her grandchildren, Hershel Starks, III and Heather Pearson (Lane); her great grandchild Sean; her siblings, Gerald "Jerry" Gainer (Sandra) and Jody Bennett (Bruce); her close friends, Cecil and Shirley Dyess; and her mother-in-law Betty Jean. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
