She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Howell and Nora Futrell Howell; her husband William T. Doughty, Jr.; her granddaughter Trista Tyler; her siblings, Helen Land (Bill), O. M. Howell (Nadine), Elmore Howell (Gloria), R. C. Howell (Lillian) and Raymond Howell (Hella); and her brother-in-law Dwayne Bevill.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Doughty, Dennis Doughty (Tedra) and Karen Tyler (James); her grandchildren, Jessie Doughty, Eric Doughty, Travis Tyler, Marie Hinton and Miranda Doughty; and her sister Laverne Bevill.
