She was predeceased by: her mother Omeria Dubois Lashley; her sister Gayle Grilette; and her grandparents, Homer, Ethel Lashley, Walter and Alberta Dubois.
She is survived by: her husband Felix James Mercer; her daughter Amy Mercer (Troyce); her grandchildren, Kathena Mercer and Gage Gibbs; her nephew Joshua Bryant; and her nieces, Shonda Bruce and Natasha Clifton. She is also survived by three great nephews and four great nieces.
