He was predeceased by: his wife Lelia Benoit Roy; his parents, Louis Roy, Sr. and Bernice Tauzin; his siblings, Donald Roy, Charles Roy, Jim Roy and Debra Roy; his son-in-law Greg Smith; and his sister-in-law Kate Roy.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Roy (Hope) of Swords, Geraldine Smith (Randy) of Sunset, Judy Darby (Mike) of Leonville and Vickie Johnson (Brent) of Eunice; his grandchildren, Justin, Daniel, Natalie, Brittany, Lane, Jenna, April, Jeremy, Randy, Rachelle, Robert, Jr., Wesley and Louis; and his siblings, Louis Roy, Jr. of Cecilia, Linda Boudreaux (James) of Breaux Bridge and Elizabeth Guidry of Breaux Bridge. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
