He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Travis and Linnie Jackson; and his siblings, Harold Travis, L. D. Travis, Eugene Travis, Melvin Travis, Katherine T. Sandiford, Katie Jean T. Garrett and Rosalee Travis.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Travis (Duvonda) of Saginaw, TX, Sandra T. Melancon of Richmond, TX and Dorothy Gater of Jackson, MS; his grandchildren, Valencia Roberts (Amadeo), Christian Travis, Allaina Melancon, Ninette Ayivor and Dekishee Baines; and his brothers, Benny Travis (Sarah) of Lansing, MI, John Travis (Debra) of Magee, MS, Joseph Travis (Ruby) of Jackson, MS and Curtis Travis (Evelyn) of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
