With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hilda Arnaud Higginbotham of Arnaudville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Alfred Charles Stelly; her husband James David "J. D." Higginbotham; her children, Craig Stelly, Cynthia "Cindy" Romero and Deborah Stelly Barry; her stepsons, Stephen Wayne Higginbotham and James David Higginbotham, II; and her siblings, Felix Arnaud, Moise Arnaud, Phillip Harvy Arnaud, Augustine Arnaud, Wilson Arnaud, Wilton Arnaud, Nealy Arnaud, Harry Arnaud, Alzier "Margaret" Schexnayder, Gurcie Badeaux, Shirley Callandret, Lilly Rensland and Betty Tubre.
She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Moldovan of Long Beach, MS and Angela Rinehart (John) of Marietta, GA; and her children-in-law, Gene Barry of Bossier City, Carol Higginbotham of The Woodlands and Tina Richard of Sunset. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; her Godchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home of Arnaudville (224 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512). A rosary was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Francis Regis Catholic Church (232 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512).
