It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude R. Callandret of Arnaudville, Louisiana, who passed away on April 9, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roman "Pop Gros" Robin and Esther Arnaud Robin; her husband Herman Callandret; her grandchildren, John, Christopher "Porkchop" Callandret and Sheila Broussard Prudhomme; her siblings, Joseph Robin and Rosemarie Robin; her children-in-law, Billy Bergeron and Sue Alice Callandret; and her siblings-in-law, Andy, Adley Johnson, Roy Robin, Lionel Hayes, Annabelle Lanclos and Ruby Courville.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Callandret, Gene Callandret (Sheryl) of Arnaudville, Bernadette C. Bergeron of Pecaniere and JoAnne Gerard (Joey) of Scott; her grandchildren, Paul "Kojak" Broussard (Jessica) of Arnaudville, Blake Callandret of Scott, Joshua Callandret (Jordyn) of Rockingham, NC, Jonathon Gerard of Scott and Ashley Pelletier (Adam) of Sunset; her great grandchildren, Lander Callandret of Shreveport, Chase Prudhomme of Opelousas, Davin Broussard of Arnaudville, Weston Ranger Callandret of Rockingham, NC, Brittany Prudhomme (Dylan Leger) of Opelousas, Hallé Callandret of Arnaudville, Evangeline Pelletier of Sunset, Mia Broussard of Arnaudville and Zara Celeste Callandret of Rockingham, NC; her great great grandchildren, Greyson Paul Arredondo, Gabrielle and Paisley Leger; and her siblings, Norman "Boy" Robin (Cecile) of Henderson, George Robin (Jackie) of Lafayette, Curtis Robin (Carol) of Henderson, Charlotte Johnson of Lafayette, Barbara "Pug" Johnson of Breaux Bridge, Nettie Robin of Cecilia and Bernice Hayes of Hendersone. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
