Cecile Cormier Duplechin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cecile Cormier Duplechin (Arnaudville, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 17, 2024 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her son Mike Duplechain; her grandson Ethan Duplechin; her parents, Adelma Cormier and Malvina Comb; and her siblings, Gussie Cormier, Percy Cormier, Bertha Landry, Joyce Knott and Rosita Cormier.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Duplechin of Arnaudville, Paul Duplechin (Crystal) of Parks, Faye Guidry (Kevin) of Arnaudville, Annette Guidry (Doug) of Nina, Pauline Martin (Joe) of Arnaudville and Jennifer Babin (Bryan) of Breaux Bridge; and her daughter-in-law Linda Duplechin. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 7:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (224 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512). A rosary was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Regis Catholic Church (232 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in the name of Cecile Cormier Duplechin be made to the St. Joseph Hospice Foundation (https://www.stjosephhospicefoundation.org).
