He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James and Mary Jordan James; and his siblings, Arthur "Preacher" James, Hubie "Dick" James, Florence Yarbrough, Lillie Garner and Norvis Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" James; his sons, Billy Michael James (Marla) and Maxwell Heath James (Holly); his grandchildren, Colby Falkner James (Tess), Brady Logan James (Malina), Ava Elizabeth James and Leah Caroline James; and his sister Edna James Gantt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Arcadia Cemetery (1776 Locust St, Arcadia, LA 71001). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rose Neath Funeral Homes - Arcadia (1680 1st St, Arcadia, LA 71001). A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hurricane Cemetery.
