She was predeceased by: her husband Pate; and her siblings, Lamar Moak, May Valentine, Hazel Moak, Hudson Moak and Ernestine Jones.

She is survived by: her son Jay Carter (Judy); and her siblings, Delaine Moak (Sarah) and Maxine Galdamez. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces, nephews.
